If i download an mmorpg to one computer then trransfer the installed files to another cimputer would it work?

okay so basically im looking to download an mmorpg, the only problem i have is i use a mobile broadband dongle, meaning i am limited to a certain amount of usage per month. and i know these games require large downloads and patches. i was just wondering if i were to install it on my girlfriends laptop then transfer the installed and patched files to my computer. would it work?|||yes as long as if there were no dll files put into the system32 file, but you could just copy those as well
